Как более редкий вариант лошади, может появиться осёл. Мул появляется при скрещивании лошади и осла. Осла и/или мула можно вырастить (покормив пшеницей или яблоками), оседлать и приручить, но нельзя экипировать броней. Зато на ослов и мулов можно прикреплять сундуки, кликнув ПКМ по ослу, держа сундук в руке (снять сундук нельзя). Чтобы открыть сундук, нужно кликнуть по ослу или мулу ПКМ, держа ⇧ Shift. Тогда откроется инвентарь осла, но он в 2 раза меньше инвентаря маленького сундука.

Для размножения нужно покормить лошадей любыми золотыми яблоками (как простыми, так и усиленными) или золотой морковью. Можно скрещивать ослов и лошадей, при этом получается мул. Мулов размножать нельзя. Жеребят нельзя оседлать или надеть на них броню или седло. Их можно вырастить, кормя пшеницей, яблоками, сахаром или снопами сена. Потомок может иметь лучшие характеристики, чем родители, как, например, большее максимальное здоровье. При размножении прирученных лошадей, выращенного впоследствии потомка, к сожалению, нужно приручать.

У лошадей, ослов и мулов есть инвентарь. Его можно открыть, если щёлкнуть по лошади, ослу или мулу ПКМ с зажатым ⇧ Shift, седлом (инвентарь лошадей можно открывать ещё и конской бронёй), или если сесть на лошадь и открыть инвентарь как обычно. В ячейки брони можно экипировать седло на лошадь/осла/мула. У лошадей есть ещё ячейка для конской брони. На ослов и мулов можно экипировать сундук, если щёлкнуть сундуком по ослу или мулу. Это активирует инвентарь осла/мула. Сундук нельзя снять. У лошадей активировать инвентарь нельзя.
