Ender Pearl

Ender-pearl appeared in beta 1.8 at the same time as the Enderman. Initially, it had no use.

In the Official release of Java Edition in version 1.0.0, the number of Ender pearls in stacks has been changed. The maximum number in one cell is 16, not 64, as before. Now you can use it to teleport and use it in crafting the eye of the Edge.

Pearls of the Edge can be found in the chests of fortresses.

In version 1.8, pearls of the Edge appeared in the assortment of priests. Added a 5% probability of the appearance of the Edge scales when the player teleports.

In version 1.9, the recovery time after using Ender Pearls has been added.

With a 50% probability, one ender pearl will fall out of the Enderman when he is killed. The "Loot" enchantment tool will increase the number of pearls by one unit with each enchantment level. If the Enderman is killed by an iron golem, then the chance of the pearl falling out will be 100%.

With a probability of 23.4%, Ender pearls are found in the chests of fortresses.

Pearls of the region can be bought from a villager cleric for 4-7 emeralds or exchange a gold ingot for 2-4 pearls from a piglin.

Ender's pearl can be obtained by command (see below).

One of the properties of ender's pearls is teleportation. Pearls need to be thrown by right-clicking, like a snowball. In this case, the player is teleported to the place where the pearl fell. After each teleportation, the player will receive damage of 2.5 hearts, similar to the damage fr om falling. This damage is reduced to 0.5 hearts if the player is wearing boots with the "Protection" and "Weightlessness" charms of the maximum level. After the player has teleported, the pearl will disappear. If the player throws several Ender pearls in turn, he will be teleported in the order in which the pearls fall to the ground. But you need to be careful not to get a lot of damage at once.

Using ender pearls is the only way to spawn the Endermite (without using commands).

The probability of the appearance of scales when using it is 5%. But the scale will appear at the place wh ere the player is, and not at the place where the pearl lands.

• Using the Ender Pearl, you can get out of the upper boundary of the world in the Cave.
• If the player dies before the pearl touches the ground, the corpse is teleported anyway.
• If you throw an ender Pearl into a block of glass, you will be able to pass through it.
• If you throw the pearl of the Edge at an angle of 45°, it will fly a maximum distance of 50 blocks.
• If a player dies from damage received during teleportation, a message will appear that the player died from a fall from a great height.
• If you throw a pearl into a portal in the Nether, it will fly through, as if there is no portal.
• If a player throws a pearl while he is on horseback or on transport, he will be teleported without transport.
• The pearls of the Edge can be thrown by a piston with a block of mucus. This allows the player to create a kind of cannon that teleports the player much further than with a normal throw.
• Since version 1.14, a bug has been noticed: if you throw an Ender Pearl into a tunnel with a height of 1 block, the player will move through this tunnel.
