Tadpole

For the first time, together with the frog, the tadpole was presented at Minecraft Live 2021. With the release of the large-scale update 1.19, he was added to the game as a frog larva.

Tadpoles cannot appear in the game by spawning. They cannot be accidentally found in any biom. They appear naturally only from the ripe eggs of frogs. From one "clutch" of eggs, from two to six tadpoles can appear.

They can also be summoned using a command or a summoning egg.

In the pond, the tadpole will randomly swim in the water until it turns into a frog.

Being outside the water source, the tadpole will die in 10 seconds. If he ends up on the shore, he will jump, thus trying to get back into the water. If you put a tadpole in a pot of water, it will still die.

A tadpole can be placed in a bucket of water, thereby obtaining a bucket with a tadpole. In a bucket, it can be safely transported to any distance, including between biomes, to obtain a certain color from a frog tadpole.

You can accelerate the growth of a tadpole by feeding him balls of mucus.

• Enemies of tadpoles are considered axolotls, which will hunt them and try to eat them.
• The tadpole will follow the player who is holding a ball of slime in his hand.
• If you pour a bucket of tadpoles in Hell, the water will evaporate. Only tadpoles will remain, which will die within 10 seconds without access to water.
• The tadpole is unique in that it is the only mob in the game, the children's version of which looks completely different from the adult and has its own summoning egg.
• The type of frog that will emerge from the grown tadpole does not depend on the type of "parent" from whose spawn the tadpole hatched. The tadpole turns into one of three types of frog, depending on the biome in which the tadpole grew up. For example, if a tadpole that appeared in a temperate biome is transferred in a bucket to a snowy biome, then a green frog will grow out of it.
