Zoglin

The Zoglin is a pink, pig-like hostile mob with large tusks.

Have 40 health units, which correspond to 20 hearts on the health bar.

Zoglin's attack power depends on the difficulty level of the game:

• Easy level: 2 to 5 health units (1-2.5 hearts on the health bar).
• Normal level: 3 to 8 health (1.5 - 4 hearts on the health bar).
• Hardcore: 4 to 12 health (2 to 6 hearts on the health bar).

A small zoglin will always take 1 health point (0.5 hearts on the health bar).

Zoglin hitbox size: height: 1.4 blocks, width: 1.3965 blocks.

Zoglins were added to the game in the Official Java Edition in version 1.16 (Nether Update). In subsequent snapshots of this version, the following changes were made:

• 20w15a - Zoglins are now undead.
• 20w19a - Hoglins turn into zoglins when they are in the End.
• 1.16 Pre-release 6 - Zoglins got more knockback resistance: 0.6 instead of 0.5, and each tusk of zoglins got its own texture.
• In version 1.16.2, a leash can be tied to a zoglin.

Zoglins will not disappear in the peaceful game level, but will become passive.

Zoglins (adult and small) drop 1-3 pieces rotten flesh. The amount of drops can be increased if the player's weapon is enchanted with «Loot». At enchantment level «Loot III» will drop up to 6 pieces of rotten flesh. In addition to rotten flesh, 5 experience points are dropped.

Zoglins will be aggressive towards all mobs with the exception of creepers, Ghasts and their relatives.

Zoglin throws the opponent up with the help of large tusks with a sharp movement of the head. However, it will not be possible to reduce the damage taken with the help of a shield.

Small zoglins cannot knock the target up, they just deal damage with their tusks.

• Close Combat: Combat tactics are identical to combat tactics with hoglins. The only difference is that you can increase the damage dealt with enchantments. For example, "Smite" or "Sharpness".
• Ranged: Shooting the zoglin is best from high ground. Also, if there is a nearby reservoir, you can try to drive the zoglin into the water. Since the zoglins cannot swim, they should not be difficult to kill. It is better to enchant a bow for "Knockback" and "Power".
• Distraction: If the player is attacked by other mobs besides zoglins, then you can try to run away. This will cause the zoglin to turn his wrath on other mobs and he will kill them himself.

Zoglins cannot breed.

Since Zoglins are undead, they will take damage from the Instant Heal Potion and the Instant Damage Potion. They are not affected by potions of regeneration and poisoning. If the player's weapon is enchanted with "Smite", the zoglins will receive increased damage from such weapons.

Like hoglins, zoglins fear warped mushrooms. This fact can be used when zoglins attack the player. Putting a Warped Mushroom on a block next to a player will cause the Zoglins to run away from them.

There are several ways to get zoglin in Minecraft:

• If a hoglin stays in the overworld or the End for more than 300 ticks, he will become a zoglin.
• Summon a zoglin with a command.
• Summon a Zoglin with a Summon Egg.

• Zoglins are aggressive towards an armor stand.
• A leash can be applied to the zoglin.
• The zoglins will attempt to attack the wither, which will ignore them in turn, as zoglins are undead.
