The Pantheon
The Pantheon map is a recreation of the most mysterious of all the buildings of Ancient Rome. It is not known exactly when, how and by whom the Pantheon was built.
The ancient temple consists of a large rotunda, covered with a hemispherical dome, and 16 Corinthian columns supporting the pediment. The interior of the Pantheon is no less magnificent than the outside. The temple has seven niches placed behind paired columns that served to worship deities associated with the cult of the planets: the Sun, Moon, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury and Mars.
