Allay

Allay appeared in version 1.19 as the mob that received the majority of player votes during the Minecraft Live 2021 voting, when it was possible to choose one of the three mobs that will appear in the game in the next update.

The opportunity to breed the quiet ones got only in version 1.19.1.

Unlike other mobs, it is possible to find 1-3 allays only in a cage of an outpost of robbers or in a forest mansion in prison cells. Both in the first and in the second case, you will have to fight for their salvation.

Perhaps the player will not be able to find the allay one the first time, because sometimes there will be a golem in the cage of the outpost instead of the allay, and in the mansion the prison cells will be empty.

If you managed to find the allay in the cage, you need to break it, and give the allay any object by right-clicking on the mob with this object, thus "tying" the allay to yourself. In this case, the allay will follow the player, will search and pick up items similar to the one that the player gave to the allay. If you take the issued item from allay, he will again "get rid" of the player and will exist by himself, just wandering around the world. Thus, it is impossible to fully tame the allay. He follows the player as long as he holds the item issued by the player.

The tethered allay move away from the player at a distance of up to 64 blocks, and the radius of the search for objects is 32 blocks. This is not much, so it is most effective to use the skills of a quiet person in small enclosed spaces, for example in mines.

Attention: if you give allay a block or an enchanted pickaxe, he will not start mining the same blocks himself, and will not bring another pickaxe with the same charms. He can only pick up objects that hover above the ground in the form of "icons". In addition to the object in his hands, allay has his own cell for storing collected items. As soon as a stack of found objects of the same type gathers in the cell, the allay will fly up to the player and give all the found objects, except the one he holds in his hands. Three seconds after that, the allay will start collecting items again.

The subject for the search can be changed. To do this, you first need to pick up the active item from the quiet one by right-clicking on the allay with an empty hand, and give him a new item by clicking again, but with the desired item in hand.

Allay loves music very much. If you place a music block on the ground and play a melody on it, then the allay will bring the collected items to the music block, and not to the player. This is explained by the property of the allay to be attached to this music block for 30 seconds if they were at a distance of no more than 14 blocks from each other.

To reproduce the allay, you need a record player, a record and a fragment of amethyst. When the record starts playing a melody, the allay will start dancing. At this time, you need to give him a piece of amethyst, red hearts will start coming from the allay, and another allay will appear. Allay can breed at intervals of 2.5 minutes.

• An allay is able to make sounds of joy when he has an object, and sounds of sadness when he does not have an object.
• The allay will not enter the water, but it can be forced into it with a leash.
• Allay will not be able to inflict damage to the player to whom this mob is tied. But other players can kill him, after which the items that were in his hand and in his inventory will fall out of the allay.
• If the allay holds the totem of immortality in his hands, then when receiving fatal damage, the totem will work and protect the allay.
• An allay can get a name using a tag.
