Sniffer

If we take into account that the previous voting-winning mobs were added to the game in the next major update, we can expect the appearance of a sniffer in the game in update 1.20, which will be released approximately in the summer of 2023.

Sniffer is a fairly large mob in size, with a structure resembling a turtle. The developers characterize it as an ancient type of mob, which was considered extinct for a long time. The sniffer has a keen sense of smell, which allows him to find seeds of rare plants deep underground by sniffing. Probably, he will also dig them out so that the player can collect and plant them.

It is assumed that naturally generated sniffers will not be found in the game, which means that they will not have a specific habitat. But their love for plants makes it pointless for them to be in cold biomes where there is no vegetation.

Sniffers will hatch from eggs that the player will have to find. The legend of the "ancient mobs", which appeared from eggs like dinosaurs, fits perfectly here.

The player will have to bring back to life this ancient species from eggs that have lain for hundreds of years. If, of course, the player can find them.

There will also be a call of the sniffer using the command and the egg of the call in creative mode.

In addition to the sniffer itself, the developers will add eggs from which small sniffers appear. The flora of the game will also be significantly expanded, new plants with unusual fruits and interesting properties will appear. There is a reference to one of the types of new plants in the presentation that the developers showed. In the center of the screen, you can see a green shoot of a previously unknown plant.

For each of the new plants, unique seeds will be added with which they can be grown.

Sniffer eggs will be very difficult to find. It is assumed that they will be hidden in underwater ruins under the protection of drowned people or underground, for example, in an Ancient city, under no less good protection.

Despite this, the sniffer itself is exclusively a land mob.

There is no information yet whether it will be possible to breed small sniffers with the help of two adults. It will be possible to find out only when the sniffers appear in the preview snapshot for the 1.20 update. If their breeding is possible, then most likely it can be done with the help of some rare plant, so that getting a large number of sniffers is not a very easy task for the player.
