Questions about entity.minecraft.vex
Here you will find detailed answers to frequently asked questions about entity.minecraft.vex.
Vex – small flying mobs with wings, armed with a sword, which are called by Evokers to help in battle. They have 14 health units, which corresponds to 7 hearts on the health scale.
The attack power depends on the level of the game:
- Easy level: 5 (2, 5 hearts)
- Normal: 9 (4.5 hearts)
- Hardcore: 13 (6.5 hearts)
After death drops 3 spheres of experience.
- Vexes are added to Minecraft in the Official release of Java Edition in version 1.11 (snapshot 16w39a). Their attack power was equal to 3 (1.5 hearts) at the light level, 4 (2 hearts) at the normal level and 6 (3 hearts) at the hardcore game level. Since the snapshot 16w42a, they have become much stronger. The attack power has grown to 5 (2.5 hearts) on easy difficulty, to 9 (4.5 hearts) on normal and to 13 (6.5 hearts) on the difficult level of the game. Starting with the snapshot 16w43a, the Vexes were able to move to the Lower World and the End with the help of portals, as well as ignore water.
- In subsequent versions of Minecraft, only the texture of the Vexes changed.
- It is assumed that in the upcoming Minecraft 1.20 update, the Vexes hitbox will be increased in order to make it easier for players to deal damage to them.
First of all, it should be remembered that no matter how much the player tries to kill the vexes, they will appear indefinitely until the Evoker, who summons them is killed. Thus, the primary goal should be to get rid of the Evoker. To do this, you can use any weapon. However, if the action takes place in a forest mansion, where there is limited space and many narrow corridors, a bow or crossbow may be an ineffective weapon.
Vexes live for 120 seconds (2 minutes). This does not apply to Vexes obtained from a spawner, a summoning egg, or using a console command.
Vex in Minecraft can be found only during raids in the village and in the forest mansion. The Evoker raises his hands up during the attack, makes a loud sound and white particles of magic form around him – "smoke". After that, three Vex appear.
Vex can take damage from any weapon and even from the player's hand.
The Vex attack the player, adult villagers, Wandering Trader, iron golems and other mobs that will show aggression to the Evoker.
During the attack, Vex begin to glow red and rush rapidly at their target.
If a player attacks a Vex, then all the Vexes that are nearby will start attacking the attacker. After the Vexes destroy their target, they will aimlessly fly around the Evoker within 15x11x15 blocks from him and after a while they will despawn.
As a rule, the sword does not fall out. The chance of dropping a sword as a drop increases by 1% if the Vex is killed by a weapon with a "Loot" charm. However, the sword of the Vex does not lend itself to enchantment and has weak damage.
Yes, it can, without taking any damage. They fly through walls, trees, earth, lava and water.
No, you can't.
The height of the hitbox is 0.8 blocks, and the width is 0.4 blocks.
